Our Mission

Exalt God by inviting individuals into a relationship with Jesus Christ and one another by serving, witnessing, teaching, and encouraging.

History

Tanner Trails Community Church (formerly named "Butterfield Community Church") was started as a Free Will Baptist Mission at the Aurora YMCA in September, 1961. Early meeting places included East Central High School and Odd Fellow's Hall. On November 11, 1962 we became Free Will Baptist Church.

In September, 1968 we moved into our own church building and in the 1980's we changed our name to Butterfield Community Church.

In September, 2004 we moved to the North Aurora Activity Center. We have more detailed history information available.

We began construction on a new facility in the Tanner Trails subdivision in North Aurora and have changed the name to Tanner Trails Community Church.

On August 20, 2006, David Womack was called as our new pastor. On September 3, 2006, we moved into our new facility on Tanner Road.
